Cloud app catalog

If you have used the cloud discovery dashboard, this list will look similar to the discovered apps tab. The key difference is this is an entire "catalog" of all the cloud apps Microsoft has identified, currently over 30,000+. The page works the same as well, selecting a cloud apps row will expand to show you the breakdown of items contributing to their risk score.

Tip

Consider using the cloud app catalog to help find your next tool or to help inform your decision if you already have a cloud app in mind! You can filter down to a specific category, then select what compliance or security standards you are looking for in an application.

Keep in mind this may not be viable in your organization, some products require years of planning, a bidding process, or may be selected without any IT involvement. Additionally, note that Microsoft gathers this data from the vendor or through automated means so the data here may not always be accurate or updated, so this would really just be a supplement to your normal app procurement and governance process.

Catalog history

When I started working with cloud apps the catalog was somewhere in the 20,000s, it has since reached over 30,000, and I thought it might be fun to track the expansion overtime.

Note

This chart looks best in light mode, I hope to find a way to get it better formatted in the future!
