Service status

If App governance is available to you turning this feature on essentially adds a new page to MDCA that is a souped up version of OAuth apps. A few key benefits:

  • Track apps that authenticate to other services such as Google
  • Track app telemetry such as uploads and downloads
  • Create policies to help protect OAuth app usage

Enabling this setting is straightforward, it takes a while to be setup, Microsoft states 10 hours so turn this on and check back the next day.

If you are unable to enable app governance, this may be due to your billing region or current capacity limits in your region. I have only seen capacity limits on one occasion.
